Dear Parents of Students Attending the 8th Grade DC Trip,
We have decided to use the Remind App, which is a texting app, as our Emergency Phone Chain to communicate with parents while we are in DC. Therefore, we will not be sending home paper copies of our phone chain to those parents who expressed an interest in being contact persons. The Remind App and our other social media sites will be a more effective and efficient way to communicate with parents in an emergency situation.

Last time we checked the weather forecast in DC it appeared that we will have temperatures in the mid 60’s with the possibility of some rain in the early evening.

We will be in the DC area on Wednesday, April 6 (after 3:30 PM) and Thursday, April 7 (all day). We will be in the Gettysburg, PA., area in the morning (10:00-1:15 PM) and in the Somerset and Shanksville, PA., areas in the afternoon (4:00-6:00 PM) on Friday, April 8.
In addition, you will be able to track our busses while we are on the trip by clicking on the link below. The link will only work once we have left OFMS at 6:30 AM on Wednesday, April 6, and NOT prior to departure.
After you click on the link, enter this Trip ID 395251. You will also need the Anderson bus number and not our assigned bus number (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6). Once your child is on the bus ask him/her to text you their Anderson bus number. We will be sure to let the students know their Anderson bus number shortly after we take off from OFMS.
